A Modern Rendition of Proverbs 7:
One of the guys in our men’s purity group put pen to paper and produced this insightful look at Proverbs 7, looking at the major sexual sin men are struggling with today: Internet Po*nography.7) I was among the simple,
I noticed among the young men,
a youth who had no sense.
8) He was in a public library,
at a computer browsing the sports pages;
9) as people walked away,
his browsing started to wander.
10) Then out came a pop-up ad,
having a scantily dressed woman inviting him to view for free.
12) (The ad was nasty)
13) She said she would chat with him about
whatever he wanted:
14) “If you Paypal me $10 I will show
you whatever your heart desires.”
21) He fought the temptation, but he seemed unable to stop.
He paid and then he watched. Others noticed what he was doing.
But he didn’t appear to care anyway.
24) Now then, my sons, listen to me;
pay attention to what I say.
25) Do not surf without accountability.
26) Internet po*n has many victims;
many marriages and relationships have been destroyed.
27) Internet po*n leads to greater sin and is a highway to the grave,
leading down to the chambers of death.
